The nervous system causes both the voluntary and involuntary actions in a human being's body and consists of two main parts- central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. These comprise of the spinal cord, the brain and nerves that transmit signals to different parts of the body. The nervous system carries some vital and diverse functions in the human body. The easiest way to understand how the nervous system works is to think of the brain and spinal chord, together, as a computer. This bodily computer of our body enables all the other functions of our body- internal and external.
